1964 – 1967 Corvette

Corvette Factory bodies are custom designed to fit directly to later model C3 1968-1982 Corvette chassis. This means that the firewall and floor are custom fitted to accommodate the variances between 1963-1967 Mid-Year Corvette chassis and the later model C3.


Why C3? The reason is simple, manufactured in greater production numbers C3 chassis’ are generally more plentiful and cost efficient. Although largely identical in appearance to C2, these chassis offer a simpler route to attaining a stiffer chassis, reinforced chassis to reduce body more (relatively) modern suspension, power steering and disc brakes - The ideal basis for a Restomod, Race Car or fast, fun, reliable road car.


Whether using a chassis supplied by The Corvette Factory, or doing the work yourself, we will help guide you through the process to address some of the nuances like body mounting and getting the right fit.

Your Corvette Factory replica body will consist of the following:

  • Complete, mid-year Corvette bodyshell
  • Pair of Inner fenders
  • Hood inclusive of top skin and frame
  • Pair of doors (outer skin and inner panel)
  • Firewall
  • Interior floor and trunk space floor
  • Lower rear splash panel
  • Corvette Factory body mount kit

Optional extras include items such as Fiberglass Bumpers and Dashboard as well as the 1963 Split Window Coupe upgrade kit.


1963 Split Window Coupe

In 1963, the Corvette underwent a dramatic shift in design with the rounded front-end styling making way for a sharper front end and for the first time, a proper fixed-roof Coupe with aggressive haunches and the iconic split rear window. Although this design ran from 1963 – 1967, the first-year design remains timeless and the ultimate in desirability for Corvette enthusiasts.


Prices for genuine 1963 ‘SWC’ Coupes have reached stratospheric levels with ‘driver’ quality cars commonly exchanging hands for in excess of $100,000.

As with our 1964-1967 bodies, these are custom designed to fit directly to later model C3 1968-1982 Corvette chassis. Why C3? The reason is simple, manufactured in greater production numbers C3 chassis are generally more plentiful and cost efficient. Although largely identical in appearance to C2, these chassis offer a simpler route to more modern suspension, power steering and disc brakes - The ideal basis for a Restomod, Race Car or fast, fun, reliable road car.

Our replica bodies deliver what for many is an unattainable dream – ownership of a split window Corvette featuring all the correct and differentiating components, including:

1.     One year only hood with inset for period ‘Hood Grilles’
2.    Correct side roof vents*
3.    One year only side fender inserts
4.    Fiberglass rear screen insert to offer iconic split window

Chassis and Running Gear

All chassis supplied by The Corvette Factory will come sand blasted with a coat of primer ready for you paint your chosen colour. We stock a good supply of period correct Corvette running gear including trailing arms, steering boxes, suspension etc.

For race applications we can supply a fully seam welded, gusseted and reinforced frames ready for racing at additional cost.



Shipping

Most individual parts are sent via trackable postal service with the exception of oversized items requiring freight or pallet shipping. Transportation of complete bodies can be arranged and will depend on distance and location, including International, Europe and the USA via freight forwarding agents.

Collection is available from St Albans with simple access to both the M1 and M25.
