The Concept
The Corvette Factory is the brainchild of Bernie Chodosh. The idea is simple, take a C3 (1968-1982) Corvette chassis and drop a custom made Corvette Factory body straight over the top.

About Bernie..
A first trip to California in 1966 as a child introduced Bernie to hot rodding and Americana and he has been smitten ever since. He is renowned for some of his hot rod creations, none had names, but each set the tone for taste and style as this UK hobby grew in the 70’s and 80’s.
During the 1980’s Bernie began importing Corvettes and has owned close to 100 C1 and C2 Corvettes over the years. Whilst NCRS was never his style, there is little he does not know about these cars.
Since 1992 he has been racing Corvettes and along with sons Simeon and Adam, has passed on the batten and family hobby. Between the trio, they own six C1, C2 and C3 Corvettes for road and track.
Our Products
Everything we sell is owned by us, the moulds from which we create these bodies were cast from an immaculate C2 Corvette that had never been hit and was straight as an arrow. To make a mould that would deliver consistency and repeatability 100% of the time requires time and skill. The key here is that the bodies are custom made to fit onto later model Corvette chassis. This not only makes driving a sixties bodied car more affordable, but gives more drivetrain options and better running gear.
All our fiberglass panels are UK made and contracted to specialists with professional facilities and more than 25 years’ experience working with Glassfibre Reinforced Plastic (GRP). Each body is made to order and available in a range of gel coat finishes and thicknesses depending on objective, be that show car or lightweight racecar. You will be amazed how much an original body weighs and these can represent a massive saving on weight, helping with performance and handling.
What you will need
Corvette Factory bodies can be mated to 1963-1967 chassis without issue, but we recognise that 99% of these chassis are presently sitting underneath an original car. With this in mind, we have custom fabricated our bodies to directly fit over later model C3 Chassis, all of which share the same wheelbase.
Our goal is to always carry an appropriate C3 chassis in stock and for those of you in a hurry, we can offer complete rolling bodies ready for transformation into your dream road or race car.
There are of course variances to C3 chassis and we are happy to guide clients through the necessary modifications if they are sourcing a chassis themselves.
You will need your own drivetrain, interior and imagination but through our extensive network of contacts, we are happy to help source engines, transmissions, roll cages and more.
